About CMDF
Objectives
The CMDF Singapore is an evangelical fellowship of dentists and doctors who are committed to mobilise, equip and guide the dental and medical community to be servants of God’s Kingdom for the glory of God.
VISION & MISSION
Our vision is to be a vibrant and contributing fellowship of Christian medicals and dentals committed to the following:
- working, meeting and praying together;
- integrating Christian faith in our workplace;
- influencing local and international affairs especially in areas of faith and medicine;
- guiding and mentoring medical and dental students into mature Christian professionals;
- encouraging interaction with regional CMDF counterparts; and
- sending and supporting medical missionaries to unreached peoples.
History
CMDF Singapore was formed in 1973 under the pioneering leadership of Prof Khoo Oon Teik- Prof Phoon Wai Onn- Prof Tow Siang Hwa- Prof Wong Poi Kwong- Dr Tan Cheng Imm- Dr Wong Hee Ong- Dr Chew Pin Kee- Dr Aw Swee Eng- Dr Evelyn Hanam- Dr Bobby Sng- and others. Soon after CMDF hosted the International Congress of Christian Physicians in 1975 and became an affiliate member. The ICCP has since been reconstituted as the International Christian Medical and Dental Association (ICMDA)- and by our affiliation with ICMDA- CMDF Singapore networks with numerous national Christian medical fellowships in more than 30 nations across the globe.
