CMDF Re-Dedication Service 2008

On 25th January, 77 people gathered at St Andrew’s Cathedral for our annual
Re-Dedication service for the Christian medical community to worship,
encourage and exhort each other. In line with the theme of HONOURING GOD
THROUGH THE GENERATIONS, we heard inspiring testimonies from Mr. Dennis
Yee, a medical student, who shared about God’s work among the students.
Dr. Michael Kim enlightened us with his journey, the various trials he
encountered and God's solution. Dr. Chung Kong Mun gave an account of
his experience as a volunteer dentist in a mission field that reminds
us of our Antioch calling as a nation.
Dr. Bobby Sng, the founder of CMDF, reminded us to simply allow the Lord
to use all we have, being ready to serve Him right where He has placed
us. It is HE who determines our place, purposes and plans, and as
we surrender to His Lordship, He will direct and lead us far beyond what
we can imagine and we will receive the joy of bringing Him pleasure.
Dr. Loh Cheng who will be heading off to serve the community in East Asia
was then commissioned. The night ended with communion and corporate prayer
led by Dr. Tan Siew Pin and a pledge of commitment to serve God in whatever
he wills us to do.
