Electing to Serve (E2S) Orientation
Date: 30-Jan-08 Wednesday 3pm – 9pm
The yearly electives orientation programme was held on 30th January at
the HealthServe Community Clinic where the bulk of the people going to
Africa and India were the M4 students. There was a lecture on the biblical
basis of missions and following this was a sharing by Drs. Kenny Tan,
Tan Lai Yong, Jeffrey Lum, Loh Cheng and a few others about what we should
expect and letting God take charge.
A game of ‘Coca-Cola’ taught us on cultural differences and misunderstandings
that could possibly arise. The evening ended with a Q&A session by
the doctors. All in all, it was an insightful preparation for our electives
to come…
